ROLE SUMMARY

The SAP Planning Specialist position reports to the Digital Solutions Team Lead and will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Technical/Digital ownership of the IBP Demand (Demand Management) & SNP (Supply Network Planning) solutions
  • Support an agreed implementation strategy & timelines for next generation forecasting and planning Software
  • Own the partnership with the business drivers – Align, document & deliver required solution enhancements 
  • Engage business user groups to ensure efficient use of the software set
  • Participate & lead network supply change projects

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

The ideal candidate must bring technical capabilities, an understanding of Agile methodologies, a strong desire to learn & implement new digital technologies and solutions, as well as a keen interest in planning, scheduling & network business processes. Key activities are outlined below:

  • Deliver world class scheduling & network planning solutions to Pfizer
  • Transform high-level business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to internal Pfizer clients.
  • Develop technical specification and estimations for assigned projects.
  • Manage the design, configuration, development, testing and implementation of projects.
  • Coordinate activities across a cross-functional team located over diverse geographical locations.
  • Collaborate closely with global Digital teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
  • Develop strong relationships at all levels and with different cultural backgrounds. 
  • Communicate effectively to manage business expectations.
  • Leverage agile methodologies for solution planning and project execution.
  • Assist production support team to fix problems in a timely manner.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT discipline
  • Experience of one or more of the following SAP solutions (IBP, APO, MM, PP, SOM)
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
  • 5+ years of experience working for a large corporate organization.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycles using agile principles.

Excellent documentation and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in SAP IBP Demand, APO SNP, APO DP
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a technology position(s).
  • Experience in statistical forecasting and demand management
  • Experienced working with global applications.
