Our client is looking for motivated and passionate software engineers. Successful candidates will become part of a small, highly skilled, fast paced professional team of full-stack developers / software engineers and will be working in their newly established office in Athens, Greece (remote option also available). They are searching for candidates who are constantly looking to enrich their knowledge with the latest technology trends and patterns, eager to work on complex and demanding projects.

They are the most sophisticated channel manager on the market. Distributing more than 5,000 of hotels to hundreds of OTAs and other booking channels.
They are looking for backend or full-stack engineers.

Requirements / Desired Skills

  • Back-end technology experience (preferably Java)
  • Relational database experience (preferably MSSQL or MySQL)
  • Good knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
  • Good understanding of HTTP
  • Experience with version control systems
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Solid communication and team working skills
Education
  • University degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Fluency in English
Experience
  • 2-5 years or more in similar position
  • Previous work in travel industry would be a plus
  • Experience with React would be a major plus
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes would be a plus
  • Experience with Cloud computing would be a plus (e.g. AWS)
  • Experience with GraphQL would be a plus
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and/or Redis would be a plus
  • Experience with Event sourcing/CQRS would be a plus
It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise or experience across all of these areas. What matters most is strong technical background, and eagerness to learn, build, and grow.

  • Maintenance and optimization of the existing platform
  • Undertake innovative projects that involve cutting-edge technologies and fresh ideas
  • Work with product leads to design & develop new features
  • Work with 3rd party integration partners to solve connectivity issues
